Economic Empowerment

In La Libertad, the region of northern Peru where we do our work, 33.5 % of women do not have their own income, but when we talk about gender violence, this is an area where the statistics for women stand out, where the rate of domestic violence cases (58 %) exceed those of delinquent violence (42 %). Therefore, we seek to work with women to create a space where they can learn productive activities, come to better understand their rights and emotions, and get to know the marketing and sales techniques that enable them to work. This helps them to generate an income and develop a vision that enables them to break free of economic dependence and the violence that this so frequently implies. To make this possible month after month, our team needs a monthly budget of $ 470.00. We need to reach $ 5650.00 a year in order to continue hosting our literacy classes for women, as well as our entrepreneurial courses for 25 women.
